Meet the team

Seán joined Adesco in 2017 from his previous engineering role with Mott MacDonald. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on renewable energy technologies, and a primary degree in Structural Engineering. Seán brings a strong engineering and systems-based approach to Adesco, supporting innovation, application technologies, and sustainable engineering practices across the business. As Managing Director, he continues the work started by his father, Jack O’Hare, while guiding Adesco into its next phase of growth.

John manages Adesco’s nutritional product portfolio and leads the company’s nutrition and research activities. He brings over 30 years of experience in the agri-food industry, much of it gained through feed mill management. John holds qualifications in Agricultural Science, Food Science, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. His background combines practical feed industry expertise with a strong research-led approach. Outside of Adesco, he is an active committee member of the Irish Piedmontese Society and farms his own Piedmontese herd.

Fiona joined Adesco in 2016, having previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry and spent over 15 years in accountancy practice. As Finance Director, Fiona plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the Adesco office. She manages financial operations while also supporting customer needs, including order processing, logistics coordination, and accounts management, helping ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer service.

Michael brings exceptional precision and attention to detail to his role as Laboratory Manager, having previously built his career as a master glasscutter with Waterford Crystal. At Adesco, Michael provides analytical support for customers and company programmes, including routine feed and grain quality analysis. He also maintains the growing data systems that underpin informed decision-making, technical development, and innovation.

Steve works with Adesco as our dedicated Application Engineer, providing nationwide installation, service, and calibration support. A former Navy engineer, Steve brings strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to reliability. He supports customers participating in the Adesco Grain Management and SmartMilling Programmes, ensuring systems are installed correctly and operate at optimum performance.

Shane joined Adesco following the completion of a PhD in animal nutrition at UCD, where his research focused on Adesco’s Grain Preservation Programme. With a strong background in animal and crop science, Shane provides technical support across nutrition, sustainability, and product development. He works closely with customers to support evidence-based decision making and innovation. Shane is also an active member of the Tullow Agricultural Show and the Irish Shows Association.

Emma joined Adesco in 2024 as Logistics and Operations Administrator, bringing extensive experience from manufacturing and regulated environments. She plays a key role in logistics coordination, inventory management, order processing, and supplier liaison, while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. With a strong background in supply chain management, production planning, and documentation control, Emma supports efficient, accurate, and reliable operations across the business.
